Dr. Bobby Nourani, DO

Filed under: APM News,Pregnancy — by lorithemidwife @ 3:50 pm

Discovered another great resource for our families. For a couple years now we’ve been blessed by the care Brian Loveless, DO provides to our families. We recommend his care to all our pregnant mamas and he often comes and works on babies who have had difficulty navigating their way through the birth canal or have breastfeeding issues.

At yesterdays’ birth, the family had invited their friend, Bobby Nourani, DO to come and treat their newborn because they know and understand the benefit of OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine). Dr. Nourani came a few hours after the birth and worked on the baby and then mama. It always amazes me to see the baby’s body shift and the changes in the skull bones afterward, and how relaxed they become.

Dr. Nourani was kind enough to also treat another newborn baby we had visiting the birth center that day. Truly a blessing for this family!! Watching the two families intermingle, hold each other’s babies, chatting about birth and parenting, what a such a sweet time. It’s one of the things that I love about midwifery and having a birth center. The sense of community that develops doesn’t happen in other settings!

We also got to hear about Dr. Nourani’s practice and his training at the Osteopathic Center for Children and Families in San Diego. http://www.osteopathiccenter.org/bios.html. I’m pleased to be able to recommend another great Osteopath and he’d be a great resource for families living in the Los Angeles area. His contact info is:
